CGFFfC: CYNHADLEDD ANNIBYNNOL DROS FWYD A FFERMIO

Trefnir Cynhadledd Gwir Fwyd a Ffermio Cymru gan dîm o bobl o sefydliadau yn y sectorau bwyd, ffermio ac eraill.  Mae pob un yn angerddol am ddatblygu a chefnogi systemau ffermio a bwyd cynaliadwy, teg a gwydn.  Rydym yn credu gall ffermio a bwyd yn rhoi lles i bobl, cymunedau a’r amgylchedd.

ARIANNU

Mae costau’r gynhadledd ac ambell waith staff cymorth yn cael eu talu’n llwyr trwy werthu tocynnau a noddwyr y gynhadledd, ac ni allem barhau hebddynt.  Gwirfoddolwyr ydy pob un o’r grŵp llywio, ac rydym hefyd yn elwa o gefnogaeth rhai o’u sefydliadau cyflogi, sydd weithiau’n cynorthwyo gyda help ymarferol.  Rydym hefyd yn ddyledus i’n gwirfoddolwyr yn ystod y gynhadledd.

WRFFC: AN INDEPENDENT FOOD AND FARMING CONFERENCE

The Wales Real Food and Farming Conference is arranged by a team from a range of organizations in the food, farming and other sectors.  All are passionate about developing and supporting sustainable, equitable and resilient farming and food systems.  We believe that farming and food can be good for people, communities and the environment.

FUNDING

The costs of the conference and the occasional employment of support staff are entirely met by the sale of tickets and by conference sponsors, without whom we could not continue.  Members of the steering group are all volunteers, and we also benefit from the support of some of their employing organizations, who sometimes assist with practical help.  We are also indebted to our conference volunteers.

PEOPLE

Our steering group changes from year to year, as interested people find that they have more or less time available to help. Our current steering group is:

Chair: Dr Eifiona Thomas Lane, School of Natural Sciences, Bangor University.

Secretary: Jane Powell, Food Manifesto Wales

Treasurer: Steven Jacobs, Organic Farmers and Growers

Committee members: Adam Alexander, Garden Organic; Alicia Miller, Sustainable Food Trust; Dr. Angie Polkey, Purposeful Permaculture; Gerald Miles, Land Workers’ Alliance; Kim Stoddart, Garden Organic; Jessie Buchanan, Land Workers’ Alliance; Dr. Sarah Watson-Jones, IBERS, Aberystwyth University; Dr Anne Parry, Welsh Grain Forum.

Other helpers include: Gaynor Jones; Dr. Jane Ricketts Hein, Cynidr Consulting.
